OBJECTIVE:

On 28th August, UCSI University held its second university-wide recycling initiative in collaboration with Riiicycle, further strengthening our commitment to promoting sustainable habits and responsible waste management across the campus community.

Building on the success of the first campaign, this second initiative saw an even greater response from students and staff. A total of 915 kg of recyclable waste, almost one tonne was collected, including plastics, electronics, Tetra Pak, and mixed papers. Many participants also actively converted their recyclables into reward points through the Riiicycle app.

This encouraging outcome reflects the growing awareness and enthusiasm within our community to take part in sustainability initiatives. We trust that this continued effort has deepened the culture of recycling at UCSI University, and we look forward to even stronger participation in future campaigns as we collectively work towards a greener and more eco-conscious future.
