Our university prioritises sustainable practices in campus operations. We focus on energy conservation, waste management, water efficiency, digitisation and sustainable
transportation.
Our buildings are located within walking distance from each other, prioritising walkability within the campus to reduce reliance on fossil fuel-based transportation. We encourage sustainable commuting options such as cycling, carpooling, and public transportation. We also have 3 buggy units to assist in mobility of those who need them.
Sustainability is integrated into our academic curriculum across various disciplines. Students have the opportunity to explore sustainability-related courses, programmes, and majors that equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to tackle environmental challenges.
We actively engage with the local community, forging partnerships and collaborating on sustainability initiatives. We organise outreach programmes, workshops, forums and events to raise awareness and promote sustainable practices.
Sustainability is ingrained in our campus culture and student life. We promote sustainable behaviours and encourage students to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives. Student-led sustainability organizations and clubs play a vital role in driving sustainability initiatives, organising awareness campaigns, and implementing projects that create a positive impact on and off campus.
We actively collaborates with industry partners, government agencies, and non-profit organisations to address sustainability challenges. We seek opportunities for joint
research, knowledge exchange, and innovative projects that contribute to sustainable development at the regional, national, and international levels.
We organise events and conferences with sustainability principles in mind. We emphasise waste reduction, promote eco-friendly practices such as digital communication and minimal paper usage, and prioritise venues that align with
sustainable standards.
In addition to environmental sustainability, we acknowledge the importance of social sustainability and equity. We strive to create an inclusive and diverse campus community that respects and celebrates individuals from all backgrounds: regardless of
age, religious belief, race, social standing and nationality.
UCSI University is deeply committed to sustainability, considering it a fundamental purpose woven into every aspect of their institution.
