UCSI Wellbeing Week 2026

OBJECTIVE:

UCSI Wellbeing Week 2026 was held from 6 to 8 October 2026 at UCSI University, organised by the Student Development and Counselling Department under the Student Affairs and Alumni Division. The programme promoted mental health awareness and emotional wellbeing through activities such as wellbeing booths, art therapy, journaling, the MindScape Challenge, and a sharing session titled Journey Beyond the Struggles: Stories of Hope and Healing. These activities encouraged self-care, emotional expression, and resilience in navigating life’s challenges.

The celebration on 8 October featured a staff-only drum circle session, UCSI Wellbeing Week Celebrations and Highlights, and the theatre performance The Other Me. The performance portrayed students who face personal struggles while maintaining a positive image around others. It highlighted the importance of embracing our vulnerabilities, acknowledging different sides of ourselves, and accepting that it is okay not to be okay.

The event also featured a keynote address titled Work Well, Live Well, delivered by Mr Yong, founder of Psyhome, a counselling centre. His address emphasised the importance of balancing professional responsibilities with personal wellbeing. The event welcomed YBhg. Datin Dr. Haliza binti Haji Abdul Manaf, State Health Director for the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, alongside representatives from the Cheras District Health Office and several health clinics. Among the attendees were Dr. Rohaya binti Ramli, Dr. Mohd Ali ‘Imran Ab Rahaman, Dr. Amir Sufyan bin Abdul Karim, Dr. Adam Firdaus bin Dahlan, and Dr. Zeiti Yuslinda binti Yusof. Dr. Farhana, representing Dr. Wong Ping Foo, also attended the celebration.

Through this initiative, UCSI University reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a supportive campus culture by encouraging open conversations about mental health, strengthening emotional resilience, and connecting the university community with health professionals and support services.
