Harmony-Mesra Promotion at Workshop: Mainstreaming the Third Sector

OBJECTIVE:

The 13th Malaysia Plan (RMK13), announced recently, formally recognises that the government cannot achieve national goals alone. It calls for strategic collaboration with CSOs, NGOs, cooperatives, voluntary groups, and private sector players, including GLC foundations.

These Third Sector actors bring people power, grassroots access, and professional expertise.

UCSI University hosted and partnered with MySDG Academy and APPGM-SDG for the workshop: “Mainstreaming the Third Sector as Partners in Implementing RMK-13 & ASEAN SDG-SSE Roadmap Workshop. This workshop also included presentations by various NGOs and Social Enterprises, aimed to build capacity, foster partnerships, and embed the Third Sector into inclusive economic development through a strengthened social economy ecosystem.

Through its Harmoni-Mesra Campus, UCSI University is forging a path to a more peaceful and harmonious nation by actively including every sector of society. Crucially, this agenda empowers the Third Sector—elevating NGOs, social enterprises, and cooperatives as vital contributors to our country’s development.
