WHY IT MATTERS?
Harmoni-Mesra is an initiative supporting the objectives of Rukun Negara (The National Principles) which in turn, is our national aspiration for a harmonious, prosperous, progressive and sustainable (HPPS) Malaysia.
It promotes unity through embracing the concepts of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. These three concepts are distinct but interrelated, and they work together to create an environment of respect and fairness to achieve sustained harmony or Kesejahteraan Negara in the campus.
The objectives of Rukun Negara are parallel to the SDG Goal 16: Peace and Justice. It calls for institutions to foster peaceful, just, ethical and inclusive societies which are free from fear and violence. There can be no sustainable development without peace and no peace without sustainable development.
