Pavilion Bukit Jalil celebrated Merdeka with its Together. We Celebrate campaign, organised in association with Harmoni-Mesra, and running until 16 September 2025. Merdeka (independence in Malay) was commemorated through activities that reflected the values of unity, cultural pride, and community spirit, values that Harmoni-Mesra also upholds in fostering harmony and togetherness.
A key highlight was Tinta Merdeka, an immersive fashion-art and cultural installation by UCSI University students in collaboration with Truley Bateq, Chery, and KB Colour Image. From 27 August to 1 September, the Centre Court transformed into a cultural hub featuring 16 batik fashion-art installations, iconic standees, the debut of the Batik ArtWrap Chery Car, zero-waste creativity booths, artisan-led batik workshops, and interactive cultural games.
By aligning with Harmoni-Mesra, the celebration not only showcased Malaysia’s artistic and cultural heritage, but also reinforced the importance of inclusivity, collaboration, and shared identity. Shoppers further enjoyed handcrafted batik gifts and energising fitness activities with Anytime Fitness, Li-Ning, Anta, and LAC, making this Merdeka a meaningful celebration of Malaysia’s heritage and independence.
