OBJECTIVE:

The School of Optometry and the School of Optometry Student Association (SOOSA), in collaboration with Focus Point, participated in the Springhill Carnival event on April 20, 2024. The carnival was organized by the Springhill campus, comprising the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy. Two lecturers and thirteen students from The School of Optometry participated in the event. The industry collaborator, Focus Point supported this event, which was attended by two optometrists and two staff members from Focus Point. Vision screenings, games, and eye health talks were some of the activities conducted. Seventy-six people who participated in the carnival had Vision Screening, while 57 secondary school students attended the eye health seminar. The activities started at 10 am and concluded at 4 pm
