The Office of Postgraduate Studies (OPS) recently organised a Hari Raya Aidilfitri Get-Together which was attended by some staff and postgraduate students. The event began with an introduction to Hari Raya festivities, followed by the Raya cookies and delicacies and traditional food tasting. Attendees participated in ketupat art-making, and learned to craft traditional woven palm leaf decorations. The presentation was given by the student, Muhammad Farhan bin Mokhtar. He introduced the meaning, symbolism, and activities of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, as well as ketupat—a rice delicacy packed into woven palm leaf pouches, often eaten during the festival.
