OBJECTIVE:

UCSI University marked International Women’s Day 2025 with a powerful call to action for gender equality, featuring Seputeh MP Teresa Kok and UCSI vice-chancellor Prof Emerita Datuk Dr Siti Hamisah Tapsir.

Highlighting alarming statistics from the World Economic Forum and Malaysia Gender Gap Index, the speakers emphasised the urgency of collective efforts across education, industry and government to overcome systemic barriers and biases.

The event also showcased creativity and empowerment through a partnership with SODA and Voir Group, where 114 students and staff upcycled t-shirts into innovative designs for a fashion show celebrating female empowerment.
